Tories ask Bramcote residents to vote for people from outside the ward

The list of candidates for the borough council elections on 4th May have now been publishged. two of the three Conservative candidates don't even live in Bramcote, and one of them won;t even tell voters where they do live.

Bramcote's three Lib Dem candidates, current councillors David Watts and Hannah Land and new candidate Andy Kingdon, all live in the ward.

Cllr David Watts said:

"I get phone calls and letters from people locally on pretty much a weekly basis asking for help on matters. How do the Tories think that people will be able to do that if they represent them, given that they won;t even publish their address. This is nothing about serving the local community but all about them just wanting power." 

Labour have done exactly the same thing as the Tories, with only one Bramcote based candidate and two not willing to disclose their addresses.
