Lib Dems Propose Increased Spending To Repair Pot Holes
Broxtowe to get extra £2.9million spent on Highways THIS YEAR?
The Independent Alliance Opposition Group have revealed its multi-million plan to invest an extra £2.92million in Broxtowe this year to fix our broken roads and pavements.
The Group, which includes Liberal Democrat Councillor Steve Carr, will put forward their proposal to the budget meeting of Nottinghamshire County Council this Thursday.
The budget has been declared as 'legal and balanced' by the Independent Finance Chief at the County Council. It has also been declared as 'deliverable' by County Council Officers.
This represents the biggest ever investment in highways ever by the County Council.
It will be delivered by scrapping the proposed new Council offices at Top Wighay Farm near Hucknall. We will employ extra staff by scrapping some of the Tories spin doctors and use the money to get pot-holes filled rather than the production of propaganda.
This Thursday, the Conservatives face a clear choice:
Fix our broken roads and pavements or build new offices?
